Much more than just dolls
Dukkeskolen exhibits much more than just dolls. As a guest, you can also see a large collection of over 2,500 model cars in various scales. A major collection in the 1:18 scale is beautifully displayed by year, allowing you to explore how cars have developed over the decades. The cars have primarily been collected by the sons Brian and Allan. Jens Orla’s extensive B&O collection, vintage cars, bicycles, and mopeds are also on display.
The exhibition also features a large collection of mixed toys, old gymnastics equipment, and other items. Everything from train sets, Smurfs, model tractors, LEGO, and Kinder Egg figures to ashtrays, elephants, piggy banks, teapots, and much, much more.

The history behind Dukkeskolen
Else Marie and Jens Orla Rimmer bought the school building back in 2012. The idea behind the purchase was always that the premises should be used to display Else Marie’s dolls and their other collections. This goal has now been achieved, and “Dukkeskolen” opened in June 2021. The exhibition includes, among many other things, about 13,500 dolls, of which 1,000 are Barbie dolls, all showcased in glass display cases built by Jens Orla himself.
